Redskins secound round pick Su'a Cravens is quick becoming a fan favorite in D.C., but that doesn't mean the folks at Starbucks can spell his name.
Tales of Starbucks baristas misspelling the most normal of names are commonplace now. A simple Google search for "bad Starbucks names" reveals 472,000 results to go with hundreds and hundreds of funny images. So if Starbucks can mess up names like Erin or Stephanie, imagine what happens when your first name is Su'a.
"I go to Starbucks every Sunday and order my white chocolate mocha. Venti. I don’t tell them my real name because the last time I told Starbucks my real name they spelled it Suwqua," Cravens said in an interview with CSN (full video above). "She spells it like that and then when my name comes she goes 'Sewer.’"
After a few weeks of hearing his name mangled, Cravens came up with a new strategy.
"From now on, I just put Chris," Cravens said. "'White chocolate mocha for Chris?' This guy right here."
Count Cravens as one of the thousands across the country misnamed by Starbucks, but the rookie also opened up about his love of TV.
Of famed Parks & Rec character Ron Swanson, Cravens said, "The world would be a great place if Ron Swanson was the president." [Ed. Note: Agreed.]
Another great observation from Cravens about Georgetown University: "Georgetown looked like Hogwarts."
Watch the whole video, it's fun.
