On Wednesday, TMZ released a video of Terrelle Pryor and a Chiefs fan going back and forth in a heated exchange following the Washington-Kansas City Monday Night Football matchup.
In the video, Pryor is shown responding to one of the game's attendees who's yelling obscenities at him by yelling back. It sounds like at least a few others in the stands are cursing at the wideout, too.
Later in the day, Pryor explained his side of the situation with this post on his Instagram (warning: The post contains sensitive language).
The 28-year-old said that some in the stadium were repeatedly calling him a racial slur, and because of that, an NFL employee resorted to standing by him for the majority of the contest.
He also said that he heard the same kind of harassment following the game's conclusion while walking into the tunnel, which is when he gestured toward one person in particular. That is the sequence of events that TMZ released.
Some had assumed that Pryor was simply upset that his Redskins had lost to the Chiefs, and that's why he acted the way he did postgame. If his side of the story is true, however, he clearly did so for much more serious reasons.
