Just four hours into NBA free agency, the Wizards must find yet another new plan.
Nicolas Batum, considered a top target for Washington after missing out on Kevin Durant, reportedly re-signed with Charlotte for a reported $120 million over five years. The deal was not unexpected as the Hornets were the only team eligible to offer the coveted swingman a fifth year, which will be a player option.

No signings are official util July 7.
The Wizards were one of the teams Batum was expected to grant a meeting with. Initial reports have not indicated whether the meeting took place on the phone or otherwise.
Batum, Atlanta center Al Horford and New Orleans forward Ryan Anderson were considered the primary targets for Washington entering the start of free agency.
Based on the reported numbers, Batum took less money -- around $31 million -- than he could have received based on his years in the league.
Washington agreed to terms with restricted free agent guard Bradley Beal early Friday with total dollars reportedly in the range of $128 million over five years.
