Wizards-Cavaliers Playoff Rivalry
First Round Foes
Between 2006 and 2008, the Wizards and Cavaliers faced off three times in the first round of the Eastern Conference playoffs. There were plenty of memorable moments as Agent Zero took on a young and hungry LeBron James, but the Cavs came out on top all three series, winning 4-2 in 2006, 4-0 in 2007 and 4-2 in 2008. With LeBron back in Cleveland and the Wizards on the rise in the East, could the rivalry be renewed in coming years?

In LeBron's first career playoff game, the 21-year-old secures a triple-double with 32 points, 11 rebounds and 11 assists as the Cavaliers top the Wizards 97-86 in Game 1 of the 2006 NBA first round playoff series.
Antawn Jamison steals Anderson Varejao's rebound in Game 2 of the 2007 playoffs, but Varejao got the last laugh as the Cavaliers won 109-102 and went on to sweep the series.

Things get heated between DeShawn Stevenson and Lebron James after Stevenson's flagrant foul knocked off James' headband during Game 4 of the 2008 playoffs.
A Little Playoff Magic
Behind Caron Butler's 32 points, the Wizards top the Cavaliers, 88-87, in Game 5 of their 2008 playoff matchup.
Bye Bye, 'Bron
Gilbert Arenas blows by LeBron James in Game 2 of the 2008 playoffs, but LeBron's 32 points, 12 assists and nine rebounds help the Cavaliers topple the Wizards, 116-86.
Is it over yet?
Gilbert Arenas, Antonio Daniels and Antawn Jamison ride the bench late in the fourth quarter of the Cavaliers 116-86 blowout win over the Wizards in 2008.
No, HE did it!
Both Darius Songaila and Anderson Varejao receive technical fouls after an altercation during the Wizards' Game 5 victory in 2008.
On to the Next One
Damon Jones knocks down a 23-footer in overtime to eliminate the Wizards from the 2006 playoffs, delivering LeBron the first of many playoff series victories.
See you next year?
