John Wall gave each of his teammates customized Rolex watches this week and that gesture is drawing attention around the NBA.
Raptors big man Serge Ibaka is now joking that he wants to play with Wall. He was giving teammate DeMar DeRozan some flack for not buying the Raptors something nice when he dropped that line.
The exchange was caught on camera when Ibaka said: "I don't want to play with you no more, bro... I'm going to go play with John Wall."
Serge Ibaka found out DeMar DeRozan isn't getting his #Raptors teammates Christmas gifts:

Raptors reporter Josh Lewenberg transcribed the back-and-forth and noted how DeRozan told Ibaka he was going to buy him a Subway gift card.
Ibaka-"Deebo, you get me a gift or no?"

DeRozan-"Im not getting nobody nothing"
SI-"You've got to get everybody a gift"
DD-"I'll give you a Subway gift card"
SI-"No no. I dont want to play with you anymore, man"
DD-"OK, thats your problem"
SI-"Im going to go play with John Wall"
Perhaps Wall will ultimately start a trend, but it doesn't sound like DeRozan is interested in being the first to follow suit. Maybe this can be used in a pitch by the Wizards to free agents this summer.
By the way, each Wizards player had a Gucci bag at their locker following Saturday's win over the Magic. The players didn't know who left them there when the media was let in, but apparently the team-wide giving of gifts isn't over.
