Ravens linebacker Jarret Johnson sacks Chiefs quarterback Brodie Croyle. The Chiefs didn't have new quarterback Matt Cassel to start the season, which showed during a 38-24 loss on Sept. 13 in Baltimore.
Giants defensive end Osi Umenyiora runs away from Redskins quarterback Jason Campbell. Umenyiora stripped the ball from Campbell, then scooped up the ball for 37-yard touchdown return during the Giants' 23-17 Week 1 win in East Rutherford, N.J.
Seattle running back Julius Jones sprints away from Rams defender James Butler. St. Louis' first game under new coach Steve Spagnuolo didn't go so well: The Rams lost, 28-0 in Seattle.
The streak hits 19
Minnesota running back Adrian Peterson gets past Lions cornerback Phillip Buchanon. The Vikings' 27-13 Week 2 win on Sept. 20 was Detroit's 19th consecutive loss, dating back to the 2007 season.
St. Louis running back Steven Jackson is tackled by Washington cornerback DeAngelo Hall. Jackson ran for 104 yards, but the Rams dropped to 0-2 after a 9-7 Week 2 loss at Washington.
Washington quarterback Jason Campbell fumbles the ball, but later recovers it against the Rams. It was the low spot for Campbell during the 9-7 win.
Buffalo's Marcus Stroud sacks Tampa Bay quarterback Byron Leftwich. Leftwich threw 2 interceptions and was sacked twice during the Bucs' 33-20 Week 2 loss in Orchard Park, N.Y.
Cleveland receiver Braylon Edwards is tackled by Broncos defenders. The Browns lost their Week 2 game, 27-6 and have scored just one offensive touchdown this season.
Sacked by the bay
Denver defensive end Elvis Dumervil sacks Oakland quarterback JaMarcus Russell. The Raiders lost their Week 3 game to their division rival, 23-3, in Oakland, Calif. Through three games, Russell is completing 41 percent of his passes with four interceptions and 1 touchdown.
Delight in Detroit,
but some sad 'Skins
Detroit quarterback Matthew Stafford is sacked. The rookie was sacked twice during the game, but did lead the Lions to a 19-14 win, its first since the 2007 season. As a result, Washington coach Jim Zorn was criticized by the fans and media.
Eagles receiver DeSean Jackson runs away from the Chiefs defense. Jackson's 64-yard touchdown started a 20-0 scoring run from Philly, who rolled to a 34-14 WSeek 3 victory in Philadelphia.
Giants defensive back Terrell Thomas hits the Bucs' rookie quarterback, Josh Johnson. Johnson replaced Byron Leftwich during the Bucs' 24-0 loss, but didn't fare any better. He completed 4-of-10 passes for 36 yards.
Cleveland quarterback Brady Quinn looks up after being sacked by Baltimore linebacker Terrell Suggs. Quinn was benched during the Browns' Week 3 loss to the Ravens.
