The Bills ran the highest rates of 12-personnel prior to his injury but it remains to be seen whether they will revert to those offensive tendencies following the departure of Ken Dorsey two weeks ago.

The veteran kicker was signed to the Rams’ practice squad earlier this week after Lucas Havrisik missed two field goals and an extra point in the team’s last two games. As long as he’s nailing kicks, Crosby should have a chance to win the starting kicker job for the Rams for the remainder of the season. He converted on 25-of-29 field goals with the Packers last season, with three of his misses coming on attempts from 50-plus yards.

According to Wilson, Fairbairn is fairing well in his recovery from a strained quad; he’s just not quite ready to go this week. The team won’t be activating him from injured reserve ahead of Sunday’s game against the Jets and has instead elevated Matt Ammendola from the practice squad. According to Underhill, the initial belief was that Shaheed suffered a contusion to his quad, but “a second opinion showed it is more serious.” We don’t know how much more serious the injury is, but it’s going to sideline Shaheed for at least one more week, and it’s not unrealistic to think it could extend beyond that. Shaheed has caught 33 passes for 534 yards and three touchdowns this season and is third among Saints receivers in targets (55). With Shaheed and Michael Thomas (knee) both out this week, we will be looking at another busy day for Chris Olave (illness, questionable) if he’s able to play.
