  • BUF Tight End #88
That was always the likeliest outcome after the veteran tight end logged a full week of practice ahead of the team’s Week 14 showdown with the Chiefs. Knox will make his return to the active roster following a string of five missed games in the middle of the season. The Bills ran the highest rates of 12-personnel prior to his injury but it remains to be seen whether they will revert to those offensive tendencies following the departure of Ken Dorsey two weeks ago.
  • MIN Offensive Coordinator
Phillips immediately notified the team, which then passed word to the league. After internal review, the decision was made to allow Phillips to travel with the team to Las Vegas for the team’s game against the Raiders. More word will come from the league regarding the developing situation.
  • GB Running Back #33
Jones has missed the previous two games with a knee injury, making it five total missed games for the veteran running back this season with various ailments. AJ Dillon has taken over primary duties in his absence but continues to struggle through poor efficiency. Now that the team has played their way into playoff contention, Jones’ status becomes a bit more pressing. Either way, expect more word on Jones when the team announces their Week 14 inactives 90-minutes prior to Monday Night Football.
  • GB Wide Receiver #9
Here we go again with Watson. Watson missed the first three games of the season with a hamstring injury and was finally starting to come into his own for the Packers this year. It is unclear how long his most recent soft tissue injury will keep him out of the lineup, which is particularly concerning for the organization now that they have played themselves into playoff contention during the second half of the season. The result of the team’s Week 14 game against the Giants is likely to play a role in how cautious they can be with their second-year wide receiver.
  • CLE Wide Receiver #2
Cooper managed only one limited session this week but apparently did enough to both clear concussion protocol and put his chest injury behind him, reportedly now on track to suit up against the Jaguars in Week 14. His quarterback situation remains a mystery with the team yet to announce whether rookie Dorian Thompson-Robinson or veteran Joe Flacco will be under center.
  • CLE Quarterback #15
In addition to elevating Flacco, the Browns also waived backup quarterback P.J. Walker. The team has not announced a starting quarterback for Week 14, but the decision to elevate Flacco is enough to suggest he could get the nod come Sunday. Flacco threw for 254 yards, two touchdowns, and one interception in last week’s loss to the Rams, as the Browns’ offense looked much better with him under center rather than Dorian Thompson-Robinson. We wouldn’t go so far as to assume Flacco is starting, as Stefanski has kept his decision tightly knit, but things are trending in that direction.
  • LAR Kicker #3
According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, Crosby is preparing to play in Sunday’s game against the Ravens. The veteran kicker was signed to the Rams’ practice squad earlier this week after Lucas Havrisik missed two field goals and an extra point in the team’s last two games. As long as he’s nailing kicks, Crosby should have a chance to win the starting kicker job for the Rams for the remainder of the season. He converted on 25-of-29 field goals with the Packers last season, with three of his misses coming on attempts from 50-plus yards.
  • HOU Kicker #15
According to Wilson, Fairbairn is fairing well in his recovery from a strained quad; he’s just not quite ready to go this week. The team won’t be activating him from injured reserve ahead of Sunday’s game against the Jets and has instead elevated Matt Ammendola from the practice squad. Ammendola is 6-of-9 on field goal attempts this season and made all three of his attempts in last week’s win over the Broncos.
  • JAX Quarterback #16
The news of Rourke being signed to the active roster means more for Trevor Lawrence and his fantasy managers than it does for Rourke. While it’s too early to say whether or not Lawrence will suit up in Week 14 against the Browns, teams tend to add an extra quarterback to the roster in anticipation of a player not playing. Head coach Doug Pederson said on Friday that Lawerence would “probably” be a game-time decision, so the signing of Rourke could be nothing more than the Jags doing their due diligence to prepare for anything. If we don’t hear any update on Lawrence Saturday, we’ll likely be waiting until the team releases their inactives to have clarity on his Week 14 status.
  • NO Wide Receiver #22
According to Underhill, the initial belief was that Shaheed suffered a contusion to his quad, but “a second opinion showed it is more serious.” We don’t know how much more serious the injury is, but it’s going to sideline Shaheed for at least one more week, and it’s not unrealistic to think it could extend beyond that. Shaheed has caught 33 passes for 534 yards and three touchdowns this season and is third among Saints receivers in targets (55). With Shaheed and Michael Thomas (knee) both out this week, we will be looking at another busy day for Chris Olave (illness, questionable) if he’s able to play.
