  • HOU Quarterback #7
Stroud spent the day scrambling and connecting with Nico Collins for big plays in the Week 13 victory. He was sacked five times, but was able to use his legs to get out of more sacks and extend plays. Stroud’s box score was hurt by drops from Texans receivers as the offense could not finish on multiple red zone drives. He also missed John Metchie for a deep touchdown, but was still able to pick up chunk plays, especially on throws to Collins — including a touchdown. Stroud continues to be the best rookie quarterback and will spearhead the 7-5 Texans’ playoff push. He will be a back-end QB1 against a good Jets defense in Week 14.
  • NO Quarterback #7
The Saints expanded Taysom’s offensive package in this one, giving him 13 carries to 14 for lead back Alvin Kamara. Hill’s day could have been much better for fantasy purposes; he was stuffed at the goal line twice. Hill’s playing time increased when Derek Carr left the contest with injuries to his back, head, and shoulder. Hill’s consistent involvement in the red zone — he often replaces Carr inside the 20 — makes him a top fantasy tight end, however unorthodox. He should be locked into lineups in Week 14 against the generous Carolina rush defense.
  • DET Tight End #87
The Saints, who have been attacked via the slot all season, had no answer for LaPorta, who converted third down after third down as Jared Goff’s go-to intermediate option. LaPorta enjoyed a 41 percent target share on the day and added his sixth touchdown of the season. He now has touchdown grabs in back to back weeks in the run-heavy Detroit offense. LaPorta will again be a top fantasy option in Week 14 against the Bears. He had just 18 yards on three catches when the Lions played Chicago in November.
  • MIA Wide Receiver #10
The day could have been much bigger for Hill if the Dolphins hadn’t called off the offense in the second half. Hill’s first reception came on a 78-yard score — his longest play of the season, as he shook his defender early in his route to break free downfield. Tua Tagovailoa would toss an easy pass to Hill for the long score, but his day was far from over. Later in the second quarter, Hill and Tagovailoa connected for a 60-yard score on what appeared to be a miscommunication between the two. Despite the awkward-looking play, another lob by Tagovailoa was turned into a long score when Hill tracked down the fly ball and ran it into the end zone for a 60-yard play. Hill continues to be on pace for a 2,000-yard season, as he needs only 519 yards over the Dolphins’ final five games. We’ll see what he can do in Week 14 when the Dolphins take on the Titans.
  • HOU Wide Receiver #3
Dell was carted off in the first quarter against the Broncos, finishing the game without a target. He was hurt under a scrum of players on a Dameon Pierce touchdown and is now reported to have a fractured fibula by NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport. Dell is expected to go on injured reserve and will miss at least the next four games. Depending on the severity of the injury, he could return for a potential playoff push, but Dell will be out for the rest of the fantasy football season.
  • MIA Quarterback #1
On the Dolphins’ third play of the day, Tagovailoa found Tyreek Hill downfield past his defender for a 78-yard score. It was an easy toss and score for Tagovailoa, who later lofted another ball to Hill, which was tracked down by the receiver for a 60-yard score, as the Dolphins broke off one big play after another in Sunday’s win. It was a perfect storm for Tua and his fantasy managers, as one of the league’s most explosive offenses matched up against a defense prone to giving up explosive plays. Tagovailoa and the Dolphins will look for another big outing in Week 14 when they take on the Titans on Monday night.
  • NO Quarterback #4
Carr has entered the league’s concussion protocol after taking an enormous shot from a Lions defender in the third quarter of the Saints’ Week 13 game. He was helped off the field and appeared woozy. Taysom Hill and Jameis Winston will likely split quarterback snaps for as long as Carr is sidelined. Winston provides a much higher floor for Chris Olave.
  • NE Quarterback #4
Let’s just say the Patriots’ quarterback change didn’t have the desired effect. Zappe wasn’t necessarily the reason the Patriots lost, but he never looked like the reason they might win. Zappe, of course, is dealing with a situation where DeVante Parker was his No. 1 weapon. Demario Douglas (concussion) was out and Rhamondre Stevenson (ankle) joined him in the first quarter. Zappe did not rise to the challenge, taking five sacks, a number of them inexcusable. Weak-armed, he was having trouble sticking throws, though Tyquan Thornton committed a horrendous drop on a perfect down-field shot. This is simply a hopeless situation Zappe has zero shot to transcend. The Steelers are an awful Week 14 matchup.
  • NO Quarterback #4
A Detroit defender picked up Carr and drove him head first into the turf after a short fourth quarter completion to Alvin Kamara. It’s unclear if Carr’s injury was to his shoulder, neck, or head, but he will likely miss time. Carr was typically terrible before his early exit, and Jameis Winston will alternate QB snaps with Taysom Hill for as long as Carr is sidelined.
  • PIT Quarterback #8
Pickett aggravated his ankle injury late in the second quarter and was ruled out at halftime following a lengthy weather delay. Although Pickett wasn’t dealing the way he did in Week 12, he still appeared to be playing with renewed confidence following OC Matt Canada’s firing. Pickett continues to work the middle of the field more. Of course, he could now be required to miss time as his ankle issues grow. The Steelers face the Pats in Week 14.
