  • BAL Wide Receiver #7
Odell Beckham will also miss Week 4. That puts Nelson Agholor in the WR2 chair for Baltimore. Agholor has nine catches for 102 yards and a score over the past two weeks. He will enter the mix as a WR4 for Week 4. Bateman was playing a limited role to start the year and is now banged up, likely forcing the team to keep him on a pitch count whenever he returns. Fantasy managers can cut him loose on the next run of waivers.
  • DET Wide Receiver #9
In an unexpected turn of events, the league revised it’s gambling policy on Friday, shortening the suspension for first time offenders caught betting on non-NFL games from inside team facilities from six games to two games. This was the exact violation that saw Williams get suspended for six games earlier this offseason, but the revision has resulted in the league opting to reinstate Williams early. Williams can now rejoin the 3-1 Lions who currently rank eighth in points per game (26.5) and seventh in passing yards ahead of the team’s Week 5 matchup against the Panthers.
  • NO Quarterback #4
Carr returned to practice on Friday and apparently looked good when throwing the football. In his press conference, Dennis Allen reiterated that the team’s medical staff isn’t concerned with him making the injury worse by playing, so his status simply comes down to how effective he can be. Carr is a true coin-flip to play in Week 4. If he can’t go, Jameis Winston will draw the start.
  • LV Quarterback #10
The good news is Friday marks the second-consecutive practice for Garoppolo. The bad news is head coach Josh McDaniels said earlier on Friday that Garoppolo was still in concussion protocol, meaning there’s still a chance he doesn’t suit up in Week 4 against the Chargers. He still has time to clear concussion protocol, making his status one to monitor heading into the weekend. If he’s unable to go, Brian Hoyer is expected to draw the start.
  • LAR Wide Receiver #10
When Kupp begins practicing the team will have a 21-day window to get him back on the field. McVay said earlier in the week that “the hope” is Kupp will return in Week 5, but the Rams can keep him sidelined for a few more weeks before playing him. His practice status will be one to monitor next week, but at least we know his return is nearing.
  • CIN Quarterback #9
Burrow was a full participant in practice throughout the week. Though he’s likely playing at less than full strength, things do appear to be trending in the right direction for Burrow. He remains in the QB1 mix in a great matchup versus a weak Tennessee second.
  • CLE Quarterback #4
Watson reportedly didn’t offer up too much when throwing on Friday in front of beat writers, but the veteran quarterback believes he’ll be good to go come Sunday. Despite this quote, we’re assuming Watson will be a true game-time call when it comes time for warmups. If he’s unable to go, rookie Dorian Thompson-Robinson will start in his place, and could make for an exciting one-week spot start. DTR is best left on the bench in 1QB leagues, but has a chance to offer significant upside in 2QB/superflex leagues thanks to his mobility.
  • LV Quarterback #10
Garoppolo could still clear protocol in time for Sunday’s Week 4 contest against the Chargers. The veteran signal-caller logged a limited session on Thursday, and will likely be a limited participant in Friday’s practice as well — although we’ll know for certain, soon. If Garoppolo doesn’t go, veteran Brian Hoyer is expected to start for the Raiders. Hoyer has spent years in Josh McDaniel’s offense but is just days shy of his 38th birthday, and hasn’t led a team to a win since his 2016 season with the Bears where he won exactly one game in five starts.
  • CAR Running Back #6
Sanders was limited in practice on Wednesday and Thursday because of a groin issue, but head coach Frank Reich said he’s “optimistic” Sanders will be able to play this week. He previously dealt with a groin injury in the preseason. It’s possible that the injury resurfaced and is now causing him issues. If he can’t go, Chuba Hubbard would likely see the bulk of Carolina’s touches at running back. He would rank as an RB2 versus the Vikings.
  • IND Quarterback #5
Richardson was trending toward starting after being a full-participant in each of the Colts’ first two practices to open the week. The Konami Code QB should be in position for a big fantasy day against the Rams after already looking like a late-round fantasy value through the first five quarters of his NFL career. Steichen has adrawn up a number of designed runs for Richardson early in the season, and he was in the middle of a two touchdown day in Week 2 before exiting the game with a concussion. He’ll have QB1 upside for Week 4.
