  • DAL Wide Receiver #3
Cooks missed Week 2 with the knee issue but returned to practice by Wednesday. He was then upgraded to a full participant in practice for the following two sessions. The biggest concern for his Week 3 outlook will be a possible snap count. Facing the lowly Cardinals as massive favoritea, it would make sense for the Cowboys to ease Cooks back into the lineup.
  • SF Wide Receiver #19
Deebo suffered the rib injury during San Francisco’s Week 3 game against the Giants on Thursday. He played through the issue and even secured a 27-yard score in the fourth quarter to put New York away. Per Shanahan, Deebo is sore but did not suffer any broken or fractured ribs. It sounds like the mini-bye will allow Samuel to play through the rib injury in Week 4 against the Cardinals.
  • BAL Running Back #43
Hill was absent from all three practices this week, and the Ravens signed Kenyan Drake on Wednesday, signaling that Hill was unlikely to play on Sunday. Hill’s absence will make the Ravens backfield a weird one to rely on for fantasy purposes. Melvin Gordon was active in Week 2 but didn’t receive a touch, and Drake only recently joined the team but spent the preseason with the Colts. Gus Edwards feels like the only running back on this team to trust in Week 3, and will be a touchdown dependent RB2/RB3.
  • BAL Wide Receiver #3
Beckham missed all three practices this week despite head coach John Harbaugh downplaying the severity of his injury. OBJ did try to play on his injured ankle in Week 2 against the Bengals, so it’s possible he’ll only miss one or two games, but we know he’s at least out for Week 3 against the Colts. Rashod Bateman and Nelson Agholor could both benefit from OBJ’s absence, but it was Bateman who led all receivers in second-half snaps (21) after OBJ was ruled out.
  • GB Running Back #33
Jones missed Week 2 because of the hamstring issue but got in a trio of limited practice sessions this week. That puts him on the right side of questionable for Sunday, though it’s still possible Green Bay sits him for another week. He would be a risky RB2 option if he is active. His return would knock AJ Dillon down into the RB3/4 range.
  • GB Wide Receiver #9
Watson has missed the Packers’ first two games of the year because of the hamstring issue but got in a pair of limited practices this week. He is truly a game-time call versus the Saints. Even if he can go, it’s safe to say his reps will be severely limited. Fantasy managers should wait a week before throwing him back into the lineup.
  • BUF Tight End #88
Dalton Kincaid SZN may be on hold for at least one more week, and Knox took the leap from not practicing on Wednesday and Thursday to being a full participant on Friday. The veteran tight end has seen a near 50-50 split with Kincaid through the first two games of the season, but has just six receptions for 35 yards and one touchdown on nine targets. Assuming he suits up, Knox is nothing more than a TE2 option in Week 3 against the Commanders.
  • LV Wide Receiver #16
Meyers missed Week 2 because of the concussion but was back at practice on Wednesday. He was upgraded to a full session on Thursday and appears to be entirely cleared from the Raiders’ injury report heading into the weekend. Meyers racked up nine catches for 81 yards and a pair of scores in his Las Vegas debut. He looks like a strong bet for WR2/3 numbers as an integral part of McDaniels’ offense.
  • TEN Wide Receiver #10
Hopkins popped up on Thursday’s injury reported and was listed as a limited participant. The veteran receiver battled through the same ankle injury in Week 2 against the Chargers, but seems to be trending in the wrong direction this week. The fact he played in Week 2 despite missing all three practices last week is enough for us to not rule him out heading into the weekend, but fantasy managers should have other plans in place if he is held out.
  • LAC Running Back #30
After missing practice on Wednesday and Thursday as well, it’s safe to rule out Ekeler for Week 3 against the Vikings. Ekeler said earlier this week his injury was a “day-to-day, week-to-week type of situation.” It sounds like a Week 4 return is up in the air as well. With the Chargers’ passing game capable of carrying the load on offense until Ekeler returns, the need for LA to rush him back is low. Joshua Kelley will start versus a weak Minnesota run defense. After seeing the bulk of the work in Week 2, he will project for high-end RB2 numbers this week.
