Pickett departed the team’s Week 13 loss to the Cardinals late in the second quarter and did not return. Further testing after the game revealed an ailment that would require surgery, which is expected to sideline the quarterback for the next two to four weeks. Expect Mitch Trubisky to serve as the interim starter under center for the Steelers, likely to draw starts against the Patriots in Week 14 and the Colts in Week 15, at minimum.

Aiyuk has now scored in four straight weeks and is averaging 76.8 yards and 3.8 receptions per game during his streak. He gave the 49ers their first touchdown of the day when Brock Purdy found him in the back of the end zone in the second quarter for a two-yard score, giving Purdy the first of his four touchdown passes on the afternoon. With 50 receptions for 927 yards and six touchdowns on the season, Aiyuk is on track for a career year. He needs only 89 receiving yards to set a new career high in yards and is three touchdowns off a new touchdown mark. He’ll look to continue his hot season in Week 14 against the Seahawks.

Moore has some familiarity with new Browns’ quarterback from their time together with the Jets last season, but that didn’t seem to matter early with Brown having just one catch for nine yards before Amari Cooper left the game with a concussion in the second quarter. After that point, Moore became Flacco’s key target, seeing nine targets without Cooper on the field. Moore’s biggest catch was a 42-yarder in the second quarter where he was falling backwards but was able to get one butt cheek in bounds before his legs hit. He and Flacco weren’t able to consistently connect on their throws, but Flacco should get more comfortable with another week of practice under his belt, which could mean better days ahead for Moore, especially if Cooper were to miss any time. However, all of that could be for naught if the Browns decide to go back to Dorian Thompson-Robinson at quarterback.

It was business as usual for McCaffrey, whose 133-yard outing feels like a footnote in a game that saw Deebo Samuel score three touchdowns. Still, McCaffrey averaged an impressive 6.7 yards per touch on the evening, and found the end zone on a two-yard touchdown to give the 49ers their first rushing touchdown on the day. It goes without saying that McCaffrey will be on the RB1 radar next week when he takes on the Seahawks, who hung 139 yards and two touchdowns on just two weeks ago.

Kupp is clearly not operating at 100 percent as he and Matthew Stafford missed on a few throws that have normally been routine. Still, Kupp made a big play when he needed to, catching the touchdown that sealed the win for the Rams. Even while operating at less than 100 percent, Kupp was the most targeted player on the Rams and had the most catches, which means that he remains a WR2 in PPR leagues due to his target volume, even though we’re unlikely to see the big games that we’re used to.

While neither Kareem Hunt nor Jerome Ford was overly effective on the ground against the Rams, Hunt certainly looked better and was the more trusted back of the two. He outcarried Ford 12-to-9 but also played almost all of the snaps on the fourth quarter touchdown drive where the Browns came a missed extra point away from tying the game. Ford was more far active in the passing game, and Hunt played just 35 percent of the snaps overall, so he hasn’t taken over this backfield by any stretch. Yet, it’s clear that the team trusts him to get hard yards in the running game, which could make this an annoying split for fantasy managers that renders both running backs hard to trust.

Ford played just 51 percent of snaps for the Browns and was outcarried by Kareem Hunt 12-to-7. He did run hard and looked good burst when he had any inch of room, which, as you’d imagine from the statline above, was basically never. Ford was hit in the backfield on a few delays and trick plays that led to some huge losses in the first half. In fact, he had a seven-yard rush and a 10-yard rush and finished the half with two total yards rushing. What’s more concerning for Ford is that he was nowhere to be found for stretches at the end of this game. Despite no injury being reported, it was Kareem Hunt and Pierre Strong who got all of the work on the touchdown drive that could have tied the game for the Browns. Ford did appear on the next drive, but he was outplayed by Hunt for much of the game. Good thing for Ford’s fantasy day, he was targeted often by Flacco in the passing game, including on a wide-open 24-yard touchdown on a play action on the first drive; however, he might be no more than a touchdown-dependent RB3 with this new backfield split.

Smith hauled in a two-yard touchdown in the fourth quarter and has now found the end zone in back-to-back weeks and four times in his last five games. The Slim Reaper finished second only to A.J. Brown in receiving yards against the 49ers and was responsible for multiple big gains. Smith has caught 22 passes for 301 yards and two touchdowns in his last three games while averaging nine targets per game. He’ll be a fringe WR1/WR2 in Week 14 against the Cowboys.

Williams played 94 percent of the Rams’ snaps on Sunday and is arguably the most important player in this offense. The Browns sold out to stop the run, using a single high safety and a variety of blitzes and stunts on the line to a force the Rams to throw. Despite all of that, Williams was able to overcome missed assignments from his offensive line and slip tackles for extra yardage throughout the day. He also remained heavily involved in the passing game and was able to punch in a touchdown on the Ram’s final drive of the game, even though the two-minute warning had already elapsed and the Browns had no timeouts so the Rams could have just kneeled out the clock. Not that fantasy managers are upset about it. He remains an RB1 in fantasy due to his skill and workload.

Brown kicked things off with a 38-yard reception on the Eagles’ first possession of the day, which wound up being his longest play of the afternoon. The veteran receiver hauled in several big plays on the day and was involved throughout the game. Brown didn’t find the end zone in this one, but he entered the day with just six receptions for 45 yards over the last two weeks, making Week 13’s outburst an important one. The Eagles’ WR1 led the team in targets and yards, and will be on the WR1 radar in Week 14 when they take on the Cowboys.
