  • KC Running Back #10
The Chiefs will be without one of their biggest playmakers in one of their biggest matchups of the season, as Pacheco has already been ruled out for Week 14’s contest against the Bills. Pacheco has handled 58 percent of the Chiefs’ backfield rush attempts this season, with Clyde Edwards-Helaire coming in second with 14 percent of the team’s carries. With Pacheco out, we’d expected Edwards-Helaire, a former first-round pick, to handle the majority of early-down rushes while Jerick McKinnon serves as the third-down/pass-catching back. McKinnon posted a career-high 56 receptions for 512 yards last season and was one of Patrick Mahomes’ favorite targets down the stretch. He could have some high-end RB3 upside in PPR leagues in a game that should feature plenty of scoring.
  • CLE Wide Receiver #2
Cooper returned to practice on Friday after missing the Browns’ previous two practices this week. Even a limited session gives him a shot at clearing the league’s concussion protocol before Sunday. It wasn’t always pretty, but Joe Flacco gave the Browns’ passing attack a minor spark in Week 13. If Cooper is available and Flacco is announced as the starter, Cooper will rank as a WR2 once again for his matchup with the Jags.
  • CLE Quarterback #17
We’ll likely have an answer on the Browns’ Week 14 starter before Sunday, but Stefanski continues to play things close to the vest. DTR has started three games for the Browns this season, going 1-2 in his starts while throwing for 420 yards, one touchdown, and four interceptions in those starts. While they didn’t secure a win last week with Joe Flacco under center, the Browns’ offense looked much better with the veteran at the helm. Flacco likely has the inside edge to start on Sunday, although we can’t say that with too much certainty at this time.
  • BAL Quarterback #8
Jackson missed Thursday’s practice with an illness — a common occurrence for the Ravens QB. According to head coach John Harbaugh, Jackson is fully recovered from his illness — a good sign for this weekend. Jackson should be good to go for Week 14 against the Rams. Rotoworld’s Denny Carter broke down Jackson’s matchup against LA in the Week 14 Funnel Defense Report.
  • HOU Tight End #86
Schultz wasn’t able to practice this week as he recovers from a hamstring issue he picked up a few weeks ago. His absence will make Brevin Jordan the Texans’ primary pass-catching tight end this week against the Jets. In Week 13, Jordan ran a route on 24 of C.J. Stroud’s 34 drop backs and caught three of five targets for 64 yards. Jordan is a top streaming option for Week 14.
  • JAX Wide Receiver #13
Kirk will miss at least four weeks while on IR. He injured his core during Monday night’s loss to the Bengals and could require surgery, according to head coach Doug Pederson. Fantasy managers should expect to be without Kirk for the remainder of the 2023 season. Parker Washington will operate as the team’s primary slot wideout in Kirk’s absence. Washington caught six passes for 61 yards and a touchdown in Week 13 against the Bengals.
  • CLE Wide Receiver #2
A Friday practice — even a limited session — is good news for Cooper’s Week 14 availability against the Jaguars. He had not practiced all week after being put into the league’s concussion protocol following his Week 13 brain injury. Cooper would be a high-end WR3 play against the Jags if he can suit up.
  • CLE Tight End #85
The team had given Njoku rest days for his lingering knee issue on Wednesday and Thursday. A return for Friday’s practice should mean Njoku plays his usual role in the Cleveland offense this week against the Jaguars. He was second on the team with six targets in Joe Flacco’s first start in Week 13 against the Rams.
  • JAX Quarterback #16
Lawrence, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, has to “prove a lot” to the Jacksonville coaching staff before he gets the starting nod against the Browns this Sunday. Even if he plays, Lawrence will likely be hobbled and far less than 100 percent. C.J. Beathard, battling a left shoulder injury he sustained Monday night against the Bengals, would start for the Jaguars if Lawrence can’t go.
