Whelp, that didn’t take long following the news of the elevation of wide receiver Robbie Chosen. Waddle will now look to clear the league’s concussion protocols in time for the team’s Week 4 showdown against the Bills in Buffalo.

Williams will now miss the next four games. Kendre Miller makes his professional debut on Sunday after missing the team’s first two games of the season and the Saints get Alvin Kamara back from suspension for Week 4. Miller could see featured usage in his first game against the Packers if the Saints want to see how much of a between-the-tackles workload he can handle to pair with Alvin Kamara upon the latter’s return.

Chosen’s elevation is not noteworthy in and of itself, but when taken through the light of Jaylen Waddle’s designation as questionable due to concussion, it becomes a bit more prevalent. Waddle was able to get in a limited session on Friday, but practiced in a red non-contact jersey which hints that the standout wide receiver still has steps left to clear in the league’s five-step concussion protocol. Whether or not he is able to clear those steps before Sunday remains to be seen, but the elevation of Robbie Chosen does not bode well for his chances of returning to action in time for Sunday’s game against the Broncos. We’ll hear final word when the team releases their inactives list tomorrow. Fantasy managers at least get the pleasantry of having the knowledge of Waddle’s status early in the day with the Dolphins playing in the early games.

Scott managed a limited session on Saturday but was ultimately unable to make enough progress through the league’s concussion protocol to be cleared to play Monday. The fact that he wasn’t listed as questionable means that there were a significant number of steps left to clear before he could return to the lineup. Watkins remains out with a hamstring injury after not being able to practice in any fashion this week.

Head coach Sean McVay relayed that he expects the surging rookie to play against the Bengals in Week 3 even though he is listed as questionable. Nacua has set multiple rookie records through his first two professional outings, including most targets for a rookie through two games, most targets for a rookie in a single game, and most reception for a rookie in a single game.

Smith first popped on the team’s injury report on Friday, meaning he likely picked up the injury during the team’s first practice session of the week on Thursday. He was able to manage back-to-back limited sessions on Friday and Saturday but draws the doubtful tag for Monday Night Football against the Rams. Granderson, a former undrafted free agent, is in the midst of a true breakout season for the Saints and was proactively compensated for his growth. The Saints originally signed Granderson before the 2019 season and he has since worked his way into one of the mainstays of the Dennis Allen and Joe Woods defense.

That could spell trouble for fill-in quarterback Zach Wilson, who will now be without his starting left tackle against the stout Patriots defense. Head coach Robert Saleh said yesterday that he expected Brown to play in Week 3. Billy Turner could slide right into the starting left tackle spot of the team could move right tackle Mekhi Becton to the left side to protect Wilson’s blind side.

The Bengals also signed free agent quarterback AJ McCarron to their practice squad on Saturday, giving the sense that Burrow, who managed a limited showing in practice on Friday after consecutive “DNP” to start the week, could be in legitimate danger of missing Week 3. Burrow aggravated the calf injury he sustained in camp in Week 2. We’re still waiting on the final injury report from the team. Fantasy managers with Burrow will need to make a contingency plan considering the team plays on Monday.

This will probably go down as a limited practice. Head coach Sean McVay appears intent on taking it easy on Nacua while he deals with this oblique injury, but has already gone on record saying he does not expect Nacua to be slowed come Monday night when the Rams take on the Bengals. Nacua has caught 25-of-35 targets through two games this season, and is one of the hottest names in fantasy. He’s a must-start in Week 3 against the Bengals.
