  • FA Quarterback #7
Boyle threw four picks and one touchdown in two games as New York’s starter after the team succumbed to public pressure and benched Zach Wilson. The team has reportedly asked Wilson to step back into to the starting job — a request not fully embraced by the third-year quarterback. Wilson will likely get the starting gig for Week 14 against the Texans now that Boyle is out of the picture. The Jets signed journeyman QB Brett Rypien on Tuesday.
  • JAX Quarterback #16
Pederson qualified the injury description by calling it “just” a high ankle sprain, but as fantasy managers know, such an injury can cost a player several games. NFL Network’s Cameron Wolfe reported Tuesday morning that Lawrence should be able to return to the field at some point this season. He’s definitely out for Week 14 against the Browns, meaning C.J. Beathard will be under center for Jacksonville.
  • NYG Quarterback #15
DeVito has played well of late, with four touchdowns and no interceptions to go along with a 68.7 percent completion rate over his past two outings. He’ll get the nod for Monday night’s game against Green Bay despite Tyrod Taylor’s practice window opening this week. Taylor continues to recover from a serious rib injury he sustained last month. DeVito is only viable in deeper superflex formats against the Packers.
  • JAX Quarterback #16
Lawrence bent back awkwardly in the fourth quarter of Monday night’s loss to the Bengals and proceeded to limp for several minutes to the Jacksonville locker room. Wolfe said Lawrence “tried to stand on ankle before leaving in walking boot/crutches.” He’ll likely miss multiple weeks with the apparently serious ankle injury but should be back in 2023, per Wolfe. Until then, CJ Beathard — who acquitted himself well against the Bengals — will be under center for the Jaguars. It’s a downgrade for all fantasy-relevant Jaguars besides, perhaps, Evan Engram, who should absorb more check downs in the coming weeks.
  • NE Running Back #38
Stevenson, done in by the dreaded hip drop tackle in Week 13 against the Chargers, should miss the remainder of the fantasy football season. That puts Ezekiel Elliott in the RB1 role for a run-first New England offense that has been 10 percent below its expected drop back rate since Week 10. Elliott in Week 13 saw 21 touches — including five targets — against LA. It’s a perfectly fine workload for a top-24 fantasy option. Elliott should see most or all of the team’s red zone work, with Ty Montgomery serving as the Patriots’ No. 2 back with Stevenson sidelined. Montgomery can be picked up in deeper formats in case Elliott gets dinged up.
  • JAX Wide Receiver #0
Doug Pederson did what he could to get the veteran wide receiver involved, feeding him three jet sweeps and numerous targets after Christian Kirk departed the game with a groin injury after just one offensive snap. Ridley’s best play of the game was negated by a holding penalty, erasing what would have been a 40-yard reception late in the fourth quarter. But this is kind of what we expect out of the downfield threat, leaving Ridley a boom-bust option for the remainder of the 2023 fantasy season.
  • JAX Wide Receiver #7
Jones consistently made his presence felt for the Jaguars after fellow wide receiver Christian Kirk departed after just one offensive snap. Most notably, Jones saw two deep targets downfield which should keep his fantasy value relevant should Kirk miss any time with what is being labeled as a groin injury. Either way, Jones appears ready to contribute down the stretch, with his next stop a difficult matchup with the Browns in Week 14.
  • JAX Tight End #17
Engram shed the monkey off his back by scoring from 22 yards out in the second quarter, marking his first touchdown of the 2023 season in the process. He would remain heavily involved in the offense throughout, leading the team in receiving after wide receiver Christian Kirk departed after just one offensive play with a groin injury. Engram faces a difficult matchup against the Browns in Week 14.
  • JAX Running Back #1
Etienne showed some wear against an exploitable Cincinnati run defense after coming into the contest listed as questionable with a chest injury. He proved most useful through the air, gaining a solid 34 yards on his four receptions. Most notably, Etienne maintained a large snap share for the Jaguars on a night they were forced to the air in the back-and-forth, high-scoring affair. He’ll face a difficult test against the vaunted Cleveland defense in Week 14.
  • JAX Quarterback #3
Beathard came on in relief of the injured Trevor Lawrence late in the fourth quarter, leading a game-tying drive on a last-minute field goal by kicker Brandon McManus. The Jaguars would win the toss in overtime and receive the ball first but would ultimately fail to convert a third-and-long situation near midfield before watching as Jake Browning led the Bengals into field goal range to snatch away the victory. Beathard could be looking at a couple of starts for the Jaguars down the stretch depending on the severity of Lawrence’s ankle injury.
