Dillon was absent from Wednesday’s practice but was back on the field Thursday. Yesterday’s absence was likely a load management day, as the Packers are thin at running back and can ill afford to lose Dillon for an extended time. With Aaron Jones (knee) missing his second practice of the week, there’s a good chance Dillon will step into a lead role against the Chiefs. The volume alone should make Dillon a top-24 play if Jones is sidelined.

An Achilles injury is always concerning, although we haven’t received any news to suggest it’s worse than a minor issue. Mingo totaled 60 yards in last week’s loss to the Titans in a season that has been one of growth for the rookie. He’s surpassed 60 yards only twice in 10 games and is off the fantasy radar. We’ll see if anything else emerges regarding his Achilles injury, but for now, it appears minor.

Higgins is dealing with a hamstring injury that has sidelined him each of the last three weeks. A return to practice on Thursday is a step in the right direction and could signal a return as early as this week. We’ll see how he fares over the next two days, but his return will be a welcomed addition to a Bengals offense that’s short on playmakers — particularly at quarterback. If he’s active against the Jaguars, Higgins will be hard to trust as anything more than a WR3 with Jake Browning at the helm.

Schultz has yet to practice this week and is trending on the wrong side of playing in Week 13 against the Broncos. A return to the field on Friday will go a long way in helping us project his availability this weekend, but even if he’s active, he could be hard to trust against a stout Broncos defense. In addition to a challenging matchup on paper, Schultz played on just 48 percent of the Texans’ snaps in last week’s loss to the Jaguars and finished with one reception for two yards on two targets. His decline in playing time came in the same week Brevin Jordan returned from injured reserve, which could indicate a growing trend in weeks both players are active.

Head coach Doug Pederson said earlier that Etienne is considered “day-to-day” with his chest injury. Pederson said Etienne would be present at Thursday’s practice, but ESPN’s Michael DiRocco reported Etienne wasn’t spotted at the portion of practice open to the media. We’ll see how the team lists him on their injury report, which will be their first of the week, as the Jaguars aren’t slated to play until Monday. Even if he doesn’t practice on Thursday, it’d be premature to press the panic button on Etienne after just one practice.

Wilson is at risk of missing his third-straight game after logging back-to-back DNPs to open the week. The rookie receiver has 28 receptions for 435 yards and two touchdowns this season, but has been plagued by a nagging shoulder injury since Week 8. Unless he gets on the practice field Friday, we can safely assume Wilson won’t be playing in Week 13 against the Steelers.

It’s possible the Cardinals are taking it easy with Brown, who has yet to practice this week. Despite missing practices last Thursday and Friday, Brown still managed to suit up on game day and managed six receptions for 88 yards on 12 targets. His situation is certainly one to monitor, although we’ll know more once the team announces game statuses before the weekend.

McBride’s second-straight DNP to open the week comes just hours after the Cardinals released veteran tight end Zach Ertz. If he’s not able to get on the field Friday, McBride could be watching Week 13’s contest against the Steelers from the sidelines. McBride has come on strong in his second season, catching 48 passes for 521 yards and one touchdown despite managing just eight receptions through the first five weeks of the season. He’d be on the TE1 radar if he’s active, but fantasy managers should have backup plans in place if he’s not able to practice on Friday.
