  • CIN Wide Receiver #5
Higgins returned to practice on Thursday and said he hopes to play if practice goes well throughout the week. The Bengals’ WR2 hasn’t played since Week 9, when he caught eight passes for 110 yards in a win over the Bills. At that time, the Bengals were being quarterbacked by Joe Burrow, whose season has since come to an end due to a wrist injury. With Jake Browning now under center for the Bengals, Higgins’ fantasy ceiling takes a significant hit. He projects as more of a WR3 for the remainder of the season.
  • TB Wide Receiver #14
Godwin dealt with a neck injury earlier in the year but hasn’t been listed on the injury report with a neck injury since Week 8. It’s possible this is a reaggravation of the same injury, making this one to watch heading into the weekend. If he’s able to log another practice on Friday, it’d be safe to assume Godwin will be good to go for Week 13 against the Panthers. Godwin has struggled as of late, failing to crack 60 receiving yards in each of his last five games. He’s still on a 17-game pace for 936 yards, but that would be his fewest since 2020. If he’s active, Godwin would be on the WR3 radar against a bad Panthers defense.
  • NO Wide Receiver #22
Shaheed’s injury isn’t considered major, but it was reported earlier in the week that he’d probably miss Week 13 against the Panthers. Knowing this, the fact he hasn’t practiced this week isn’t much of a surprise. Barring an unexpected turn of events, we’d expect Shaheed to be sidelined this week and be on track to play Week 14.
  • NO Wide Receiver #12
Olave was listed as limited on Wednesday and will presumably be limited again on Thursday. It’s encouraging to see him on the practice field, but his participation in practice doesn’t mean much for his Week 13 availability if he’s unable to clear concussion protocol. He certainly has a chance to play, but we continue to wait for the official word that he has cleared protocol. If he’s active against the Lions, Olave will have WR1 upside in a receiver room that’s been severely impacted by injuries.
  • LAC Wide Receiver #13
Allen is reportedly present at practice but is “working off to the side,” according to The Athletic’s Daniel Popper. While it’s not exactly what we want to hear regarding the Chargers’ star receiver, the fact he’s still getting in work suggests he’ll be good to go come Sunday. We’ll have a better sense of his Week 13 availability when the team announces game-day statuses on Friday, but for now, plan on Allen playing unless we hear otherwise.
  • PIT Wide Receiver #18
Johnson was reportedly at practice but then sent home with said illness. Assuming it’s nothing too serious, we’d expect Johnson to be ready to go for Week 13 against the Cardinals. In his first game sans Matt Canada, Johnson caught four passes for 50 yards on eight targets while narrowly missing a touchdown. He’ll be a top-24 fantasy play against the Cardinals if he’s able to go.
  • GB Wide Receiver #11
Reed has yet to practice this week and is trending toward missing Sunday’s contest against the Chiefs. Reed has had an impressive rookie season, catching 36 passes for 497 yards and five touchdowns while averaging 13.8 YPR. He’s caught four or more passes in each of his last three games while finding the end zone twice. He’d be a fringe WR3/WR4 in Week 13 if he’s able to suit up.
  • GB Running Back #33
An injury-plagued season for Jones rolls on. He’s now missed two straight practices to open the week and is trending toward missing a second-consecutive game after being sidelined with an MCL sprain in Week 12. Jones has played in seven of the Packers’ 11 games this season but hasn’t topped 100 yards from scrimmage since Week 1. In fact, he’s gone for 60 or more total yards just once in his last six games. Jones will be turning 29 at the end of this week. Already on the wrong side of the age apex, we could be witnessing the inevitable decline of the veteran back.
  • GB Running Back #28
Dillon was absent from Wednesday’s practice but was back on the field Thursday. Yesterday’s absence was likely a load management day, as the Packers are thin at running back and can ill afford to lose Dillon for an extended time. With Aaron Jones (knee) missing his second practice of the week, there’s a good chance Dillon will step into a lead role against the Chiefs. The volume alone should make Dillon a top-24 play if Jones is sidelined.
