  • MIA Running Back #31
Personalize your Rotoworld feed by favoriting players
Mostert spent the 2022-2024 seasons with the Dolphins. His Miami tenure is highlighted by a highly productive 2023 showing in which he rushed 209 times for 1,012 yards and 18 touchdowns and caught 25-of-29 targets for 175 yards and three touchdowns. The 32-year-old could find work as a speedy, part-time player but it would be unsurprising to see him retire at this point. With Mostert gone, second-year RB Jaylen Wright steps into the No. 2 role behind De’Von Achane.
  • JAX Quarterback #16
The Jaguars source added that there was “no chance” they would consider trading Lawerence. These comments were spurred by a report earlier in the day that said the Steelers reached out to the Jaguars inquiring about a potential trade for the fifth-year signal-caller. While anything remains possible, the idea of the Jaguars trading Lawrence seems highly unlikely given that he was just signed to an extension last offseason. The Steelers need help at quarterback, with Russell Wilson and Justin Fields both set to hit free agency, but early reports are they will attempt to re-sign one of the vets this offseason.
  • NO Running Back #41
Kamara will be 30 at the start of next season but still turned in a solid 2024 season, racking up 1,493 yards from scrimmage and eight total touchdowns while catching 68 passes for 543 yards and two scores. Kamara’s fantasy managers have long profited from his work in the passing game, as the veteran back has caught 68 or more passes in six of his eight years in the league. Kamara signed a two-year, $24.5 million extension last October. As long as he’s still producing at a high level, we would expect him to see workloads similar to what we’ve seen in years past.
  • NO Head Coach
This was expected to be the case, but Moore confirmed it at his introductory press conference on Thursday. The first-time head coach made a name for himself as an offensive play-caller and is fresh off leading the Eagles’ offense to 33 points in the team’s Super Bowl win over the Chiefs. Moore and the Eagles leaned heavily into the ground game last season, but during his 2023 campaign with the Chargers and his four-year run with the Cowboys (2019-2022), his offenses were ranked in the top-15 in early-down pass rate. How Moore decides to run his offense with the Saints could depend on how their off-season goes. While Alvin Kamara isn’t getting any younger, it’s hard to imagine any coach trusting Derek Carr to lead a high-volume passing attack.
  • NYG Front Office
Brown just completed his third season as the Giants’ assistant general manager and also interviewed with the Raiders for their GM opening earlier this offseason. Before joining the Giants in 2022, Brown spent five seasons with the Eagles (2017-2021), starting as an assistant director of pro scouting before working his way up to director of player personnel in 2021. Brown has fielded several GM interviews over the last several seasons and nearly landed the Chargers’ GM role in 2024 before the team hired Joe Hortiz from the Ravens. While the last two seasons have proved challenging for Brown and the Giants, the team’s unexpected success during the 2022 season, in which they went 9-7-1 and made the postseason, caught the attention of teams. As the Jaguars continue to vet their GM candidates, it wouldn’t be surprising to see Brown make another deep run that could end with him being tabbed as the man to replace former GM Trent Baalke.
  • FA Defensive Back
The question everybody wants answered is whether or not Hunter will play as a defensive back or as a receiver at the pro level. While this list doesn’t put any guarantees on how Hunter will be utilized once he reaches the NFL, it perhaps offers some insight into how teams view him heading into the draft. The two-way player excelled as both a defensive back and receiver during his three college seasons and was awarded the Heisman Trophy for his efforts last season. It’s still possible Hunter will do some drills with the receivers, but we may not get more clarity on that until the combine.
  • JAX Quarterback #16
We’ll see where this one goes, but it’s certainly out of left field. The Jaguars signed Lawrence to a five-year, $275 million contract extension last offseason, and in his introductory press conference, head coach Liam Coen suggested the offense “will be all about Trevor.” There don’t seem to be any signs pointing to the Jaguars’ interest in trading Lawrence, but it’s possible the Steelers were doing their due diligence in reaching out to teams they thought may be willing to make a deal. Lawrence has a no-trade clause baked into his extension, so any trade would need to be approved by the former No. 1 pick.
  • FA Quarterback #8
In an announcement released on the team’s site, the Jets have shared that they will be moving on from Rodgers before the start of the 2025 season. The soon-to-be-released, future Hall of Famer will be free to sign with any team this offseason, thus ending a cataclysmic two-year run with Gang Green that was marred by a torn achilles, a 5-12 season in 2024, and a further collapse in playing ability. FOX Sports’ Jay Glazer broke the news on Super Bowl Sunday that the Jets planned to move on from Rodgers, who was reportedly asked to shelve his appearances on ESPN’s The Pat McAfee Show during the 2025 season if he did return to the team. The Jets are taking on a $49 million dead cap hit, though that can be broken up over several years if Rodgers is designated as a post-June 1 release. A shadow of the player he was when he last won league MVP in 2021, Rodgers, 41, will likely have to continue his playing career as a bridge QB for any team interested in his services. That’s if anyone is interested at all in the circus this has become. Rodgers, meanwhile, will probably have zero interest in being anyone’s No. 2. It’s quite possible we are at the end of the line of what has been an inner-circle HOF career.
  • SEA Wide Receiver #14
According to head coach Mike Macdonald, every candidate who was interviewed for the offensive coordinator role was asked about their plans to utilize DK Metcalf. Metcalf’s 108 targets last season were his fewest since his rookie year, although it is worth noting that he did miss two games due to injury. The 27-year-old receiver still finished the season with 66-992-5 while averaging 15.0 YPR but left fantasy managers wanting more, as he failed to hit a top-24 PPR week after Week 7 and cracked double-digit PPR points only four times in his final eight games. Kubiak said during his introductory press conference that he has “a plan” for Metcalf this season. We’ll see if that leads to increased productivity following last year’s disappointing performance.
  • BUF Running Back #4
In a post on his Instagram Live feed, Cook posted a comment saying "$15 mill year,” leading many to believe that’s what the Bills star running back is hoping to secure on his extension. That would be top of the market money for Cook, who has rushed for 1,000 yards in back-to-back seasons and also led the league with 16 rushing touchdowns in 2024. Where things stand right now, an annual salary of $15 million would make Cook the second-highest paid running back in the league behind only Christian McCaffrey, who is earning $19 million per year. Cook has been one of the top backs in the league in each of the last two seasons and remains under contract through 2025. That said, as he now prepares to enter his contract year, he could be at a legitimate risk of holding out this off-season if his extension doesn’t come in a timely manner.
