The 49ers and Denver Broncos will hold joint practices again this summer, the Broncos announced on Monday.

It will be the third time in three summers – with three different 49ers head coaches – that the teams have practiced against each other in conjunction with an exhibition games. The past two years, the practices took place in Denver.

This time, the teams will practice at the 49ers’ practice facility in Santa Clara. No date has been set for the practices or the exhibition game at Levi’s Stadium. The 49ers-Broncos exhibition game is scheduled for the second week of the preseason, some time from Aug. 17 to Aug. 21.

The 49ers this season have a distinct Broncos flavor. New coach Kyle Shanahan is the son of former Denver coach Mike Shanahan, who won two Super Bowls with the organization. General manager John Lynch is on the Broncos Ring of Fame and has been an analyst on the team's TV broadcasts during the exhibition season.
