San Francisco fullback Bruce Miller was arrested Thursday on misdemeanor charge of spousal battery, according to the Santa Clara Police arrest log.

“The San Francisco 49ers organization is aware of the matter involving Bruce Miller,” the team said in a release. “We were disappointed to learn of these reports and will do our due diligence in collecting all relevant information.”

A spokesman for the police department said the results of the investigation have been forwarded to the Santa Clara County District Attorney’s office.

Miller, 27, is coming off the first season of a three-year, $5.4 million contract extension with the 49ers, agreed upon in March of 2014.
