49ers-Bucs injury report: Pierre Garçon remains out with knee injury

Share

Veteran wide receiver Pierre Garçon sat out another day of 49ers practice on Thanksgiving with a knee ailment.

Garçon’s status for the 49ers’ game Sunday against the Tampa Bay Buccaaneers appears to be in jeopardy. Garçon did not practice on Wednesday, either.

The 32-year-old is second on the 49ers with 24 receptions for 286 yards and a touchdown. Garçon sat out two of the three games before the bye week.

Second-year pro Kendrick Bourne would be in line for his third start of the season if Garçon is unavailable. Bourne has 23 catches for 230 yards and three touchdowns.

Backup offensive guard Joshua Garnett also sat out his second practice in a row after undergoing thumb surgery last week.

Garçon and Garnett are the only 49ers players whose availability appears to be in question as the team returns from its bye week.
