Jim Harbaugh's San Francisco 49ers (4-4) take on Sean Payton's New Orleans Saints (4-4) in a must-win gameat the Superdome. Follow the action in the bayou.
Back to basics
After an interception by 49ers safety Antoine Bethea, the offense calls three straight runs to Frank Gore in the red zone, who takes on around the edge for a touchdown to put San Francisco on the board first.
The 49ers stuck with the run, engineering a second drive down the field which was capped off by a touchdown by rookie tailback Carlos Hyde. San Francisco takes a 14-0 lead over the Saints in New Orleans.
Graham adds three
Saints kicker Shayne Graham boots one through the uprights, getting the Saints on the board. It's 14-3 San Francisco over New Orleans.
Saints strike back
Saints quarterback Drew Brees lofted a beauty over the head of 49ers nickelback Jimmie Ward and into the waiting arms of Brandin Cooks, who beat his fellow rookie from the slot. New Orleans scores and makes it 14-10.
Acrobatic TD by Boldin
The 49ers respond to the Saints score by piecing together a drive, which was finished off by a Colin Kaepernick fade pass to Anquan Boldin in the end zone. San Francisco extends its lead to 21-10.
Joyous sideline meeting
49ers coach Jim Harbaugh greets cornerback Chris Culliver with much exuberance after the fourth-year player intercepted a Drew Brees pass in the end zone right before the half.

Saints take late lead
Tight end Jimmy Graham reels in a pass from quarterback Drew Brees for a two-yard score in the fourth quarter to give the Saints a 24-21 lead.
Kicking into overtime
Phil Dawson made a clutch 45-yard field goal to tie the game at 24-all, sending the 49ers and Saints into overtime.
The 49ers and Saints each had opportunities to score in OT, but failed. But alas, Phil Dawson nailed a 35-yard field goal to seal the victory for the 49ers in overtime following an Ahmad Brooks strip-sack.
