The 49ers will have their 14th different starting combination in the defensive backfield Sunday in the season finale against the Seattle Seahawks in Glendale, Ariz.
Starting cornerback Richard Sherman (calf) and nickel back K'Waun Williams (shin) were announced among the 49ers' inactive players.
Ahkello Witherspoon will get his third consecutive start in place of Sherman, while the 49ers will turn to a new face at nickel back to take the field in place of Williams. Sherman, Williams and Witherspoon are all scheduled to be unrestricted free agents.
The 49ers will not have starting wide receivers Brandon Aiyuk (ankle) and Deebo Samuel (hamstring) available, so Richie James and Kendrick Bourne are expected to start. Bourne is the 49ers' second-leading receiver behind Aiyuk with career-highs of 44 catches for 591 yards.
The 49ers' other healthy wide receivers will be River Cracraft, Jordan Matthews and Matt Cole.
The 49ers on Friday listed safety Tarvarius Moore (ankle), cornerback Emmanuel Moseley (hamstring) and linebacker Mark Nzeocha (illness) as questionable for the game. Each player is active for the game.
The 49ers activated defensive linemen Alex Barrett and Josiah Coatney from the practice to provide depth with Javon Kinlaw (knee) and Kevin Givens out. Givens was excused from the team last week due to a family matter.
Linebacker Azeez Al-Shaair is expected to start at weakside linebacker in place of Dre Greenlaw, who sustained a calf injury in practice on Thursday.
