SANTA CLARA -- The Los Angeles Rams use three-receiver personnel groupings more than any team in the league.
And does not figure to change on Monday when they go up against the 49ers, a team with a dearth of reliable cornerbacks.
The 49ers' starting corners, Emmanuel Moseley and Josh Norman, took the practice field Friday in limited capacities for the second day in a row. Both players wore blue jerseys, indicating they were both off-limits for contact.

Moseley is listed on the 49ers' practice report with a neck condition, while Norman has a rib injury. The 49ers' third cornerback, Dre Kirkpatrick, did not practice due to a foot injury.
Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford figures to attack the 49ers pass defense on the outside. Los Angeles has used 11 personnel (three wide receivers, one back, one tight end) an NFL-high 85 percent of the time this season, according to Sharp Football Analysis.
Cooper Kupp, Robert Woods and Van Jefferson have been the Rams' top wideouts. Los Angeles added to their position group with the signing of Odell Beckham Jr. after his release from the Cleveland Browns this week. Woods reportedly tore his ACL in practice on Friday and will not play against the 49ers on Monday.
The 49ers got some good news for his defensive backfield, as safety Jimmie Ward returned to limited practice. Ward sat out the 49ers' 31-17 loss to the Arizona Cardinals in Week 9 with a quadriceps injury.
Running back Elijah Mitchell also wore a no-contact jersey in practice on Friday. Coach Kyle Shanahan said on Thursday that he is looking for Jeff Wilson Jr. to begin to get involved in the 49ers' offense. Wilson has not appeared in a game this season after undergoing offseason knee surgery.

Reserve running back JaMycal Hasty is not expected to be available due to an ankle injury.
"I expect Jeff to get some carries and you never go into it saying it'll be 50/50," Shanahan said. "Elijah's our starter right now, he's earned that. You open the game up with him, but they both can do some things.
"And Jeff also can help on third down, which he's always done in the past, which helps with Hasty possibly not being out there. But we also know Jeff can run the ball well, too.”
