Well that's one way to lose.

The end of the 49ers' game Sunday against the Falcons at Levi's Stadium ended with two replay reviews, a wild kickoff return and a 29-22 loss to Atlanta. Here's what happened in the game's final eight seconds. Bear with us here.

49ers coach Kyle Shanahan took his final timeout as the Falcons faced a second-and-goal at the 5-yard line. Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan hit tight end Austin Hooper in the end zone, for what appeared to give Atlanta a 23-22 lead. But replay review said otherwise.

The replay official deemed the pass incomplete, giving the ball back to Atlanta.

Ryan found wide receiver Julio Jones right at the goal line, one play later. It originally wasn't called a touchdown, but the replay official reversed the call and the Falcons took a one-point lead.

After a failed 2-point conversion, chaos ensued on the kickoff.

The 49ers dropped to 11-3 with the loss, but they still clinched their first playoff spot since 2013 with the Rams' loss to the Cowboys. San Francisco fell from the No. 1 seed in the NFC playoff picture, to No. 5.

Sunday was a day to forget in Santa Clara.
