49ers' Richard Sherman excited for Emmanuel Moseley in 2020 NFL season

Emmanuel Moseley's NFL debut didn't go the way he hoped. Moseley dislocated his shoulder in a November 2018 game against the then-Oakland Raiders, but not before playing three snaps and making his first NFL tackle.

The injury impacted Moseley's development last offseason, and veteran teammate Richard Sherman is excited to see what his fellow cornerback can do after a full offseason to work.

“I think he’ll have a whole training camp of starting,” Sherman said. “It’s a different preparation and a different mindset when you come into the year knowing where you stand and being able to prepare in that way. And I think that will be good for him.”

Preparation for a starting role is different than preparing as a reserve operating mostly on special teams. With Moseley entering 49ers training camp as the anticipated starter on the other side of Sherman, he'll have all of training camp to log valuable reps with the first-team defense.

After forming one of the NFL's best cornerback duos in 2019, expectations will be sky-high for the Sherman-Moseley tandem in 2020.
