49ers-Seahawks injury report: Arik Armstead added to limited practice

Share

SANTA CLARA -- 49ers defensive end Arik Armstead was the only addition to Thursday’s practice report. Armstead still practiced in a limited capacity so it is likely he will still be available to play on Sunday.

Center Weston Richburg returned to practicing in a limited role after resting on Wednesday. That makes the outlook on him playing Sunday very likely.

Marquise Goodwin was at the facility earlier in the day but was excused again from practice to deal with family matters. His status for the team’s Week 13 match up against the Seahawks remains uncertain.

Dante Pettis and Kendrick Bourne will be prepared if both Goodwin and Pierre Garçon are unavailable in Seattle.

More mention of Malcolm Smith’s challenges with his Achilles were mentioned by coach Robert Saleh. The team wants to use him as much as possible on Sunday but realize he may still be limited as he was in Tampa. Expect Fred Warner to be paired up with Mark Nzeocha and Elijah Lee as a result.

Seahawks receiver Doug Baldwin returned to practice and said that he feels the best he’s felt since OTAs. His match up with close friend and former teammate Richard Sherman should add an interesting facet to the game.

Coach Pete Carroll has already ruled Linebacker K.J. Wright out for Sunday’s game.
