Veteran quarterback Tom Savage is back for his third go-round with the 49ers.

The 49ers on Friday re-signed Savage to a one-year contract and placed running back Raheem Mostert and cornerback Emmanuel Moseley on season-ending injured reserve.

Mostert underwent surgery Friday to repair a broken right forearm. Moseley is scheduled for surgery Tuesday on a dislocated shoulder. Both players sustained their injuries Thursday in the 49ers’ 34-3 victory over the Raiders.

The 49ers waived Savage on Thursday to allow the team to activate rookie safety Marcell Harris. The team also added outside linebacker Dekoda Watson and Moseley to the roster on Thursday, taking the roster spots that opened with the releases of wide receiver Victor Bolden and cornerback Greg Mabin.

Savage, 28, originally signed with the 49ers on Oct. 16 to begin to learn the team’s offense as the third quarterback behind C.J. Beathard and Nick Mullens. He was cut four days later when the 49ers activated Tyvis Powell for the Week 7 game against the Los Angeles Rams. Savage was re-signed two days later when safety Adrian Colbert was placed on injured reserve with a high-ankle sprain.
