Solly still working out in wheelchair after ACL injury

49ers defensive lineman Solomon Thomas sustained a torn ACL in Sunday's win over the New York Jets, quickly after teammate Nick Bosa suffered the same injury.

Both went down and were carted off the field into the locker room and will be done for the season.

Thomas apparently won't let the injury completely slow him down, though. An Instagram story surfaced of him doing some resistance band exercises after landing on injured reserve, but he was still in a wheelchair.

After his injury, Thomas took to social media to thank everyone for their thoughts and prayers and how he was devastated to not be on the field with the rest of the 49ers. He also said he plans to return from the injury better than ever.

The 25-year-old will be an unrestricted free agent after this season, and there's no certainty as to what his future holds. The 49ers declined his fifth-year option, and the plan to expand his role this season obviously didn’t go as hoped.
