Former star NFL receiver turned McDonald's connoisseur Chad "Ochocinco" Johnson apparently has sources.
And they're telling him Aaron Rodgers will indeed be traded to the 49ers, whatever that's worth. He also has heard rumblings regarding the Pittsburgh Steelers.
The 49ers reportedly called the Packers on Wednesday regarding a possible Rodgers traded without making a formal offer. Rodgers even reportedly was convinced Wednesday night that he would be traded to the 49ers.
Rodgers, 37, is the reigning NFL MVP. He threw for 4,299 yards and 48 touchdowns while completing 70.7 percent of his pass attempts and was intercepted only five times.
The Northern California native was in line to be the top pick in the 2005 NFL Draft by the 49ers, but they opted for Alex Smith instead. Rodgers then fell to No. 24 to the Packers and turned into a superstar. Now, the 49ers own the No. 3 pick in this year's draft and could use that bring Rodgers home.
And Johnson, of all people, believes that will happen.
