Sunday will be a special day for Terrell Owens.

The Hall of Fame wide receiver spent eight seasons with the 49ers after they drafted him in the third round of the 1996 NFL Draft. Owens blossomed into a star in San Francisco and will be immortalized as such Sunday when he is inducted into the 49ers Hall of Fame at halftime of the Niners' game against the Pittsburgh Steelers at Levi's Stadium.

As a member of the 49ers' Hall of Fame, Owens will get a statue to commemorate his accomplishments and time in San Francisco.

Well deserved.
