Conflicting reports over Le'Veon Bell's future with Steelers

It wouldn't be an NFL Sunday without Le'Veon Bell rumors.

This time, though, there are multiple reports about the running back's future in Pittsburgh, and each report states something different.

According to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, Bell plans to report to the Steelers in the coming weeks and wants to spend the entire 2018 season in Pittsburgh. Here's what Rapoport said on NFL Gameday Morning:

"My understanding is that Le'Veon Bell is expected to come back in a few weeks, and his sole focus right now is coming back for the Steelers and putting up numbers for them rather than another team. Now, the Steelers have openly been trying to trade him. They've been receiving some phone calls, they've also been making some phone calls. No firm offers yet, but they have had some conversations.

For Le'Veon Bell, there would be some negatives there. He'd have to come in, learn the new offense, he may not exactly look like himself. My understanding is he would have to be convinced that being traded would be something that is beneficial to him, and that is something he is not inclined to do. In other words, Le'Veon wants to be play for the Steelers this year."

But, according to CBS Sports' Jason La Canfora, the Steelers aren't convinced Bell wants to play for them this season. Here's what La Canfora wrote Sunday morning:

"While Le'Veon Bell has opined about returning to the Steelers at midseason, team sources said neither the running back nor his agent have informed the Steelers of any plans and the franchise continues to operate as if Bell may not be a part of the 2018 season."

We don't know how this saga will end, but we just hope it ends soon.
