There’s always been something special about the first day of school.

Breaking out your best shirt, filling up your backpack for the first time in a few months, and walking onto a campus you’ve likely avoided for the duration of your summer vacation.

The first day of NFL training camp has a similar feel, with 90 guys showing up and checking in to kick off the 2019 season.

Episode two of “Brick by Brick,” a documentary-style show produced by the 49ers, followed all the players as they settled in at the team’s facility in Santa Clara.

Rookie linebacker Dre Greenlaw is seen checking in, and humorously first attempts to pass himself off as fellow rookie and No. 2 overall pick Nick Bosa.

Dante Pettis also showed off his passion for photography, as he visited the San Francisco Zoo.

"First few shots are always rough," Pettis said. "Gotta fix the settings, you know."
