Here's a full list of NFL backup quarterbacks for 2021

For the first time this season, Minshew Mania is back.

Gardner Minshew will be the starter for the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday with Jalen Hurts ruled out with an illness, according to Derrick Gunn

After being acquired from the Jacksonville Jaguars in August, Minshew has served as Hurts’ backup for the season. He made one appearance in Week 8, completing two passes on two attempts for 11 yards in the Eagles’ 44-6 win over the Lions. This will be Minshew’s first start in the NFL since Week 14 of the 2020 season.

Looking at some of the other backup QB situations, the New York Giants will turn to Mike Glennon with Daniel Jones out, Andy Dalton will start for the Chicago Bears with Justin Fields still out and Colt McCoy may be getting another game if Kyler Murray can’t return for the Arizona Cardinals.

Who is each NFL team’s backup quarterback?

There are 17 signal-callers who have made at least one start after entering the 2021 season as a backup: Seattle's Geno Smith, Washington’s Taylor Heinicke, Houston’s Davis Mills, Miami’s Jacoby Brissett, Chicago’s Justin Fields, San Francisco’s Trey Lance, Cleveland's Case Keenum, Dallas' Cooper Rush, New York's Mike White, New York’s Joe Flacco, New Orleans' Trevor Siemian, Green Bay's Jordan Love, Arizona's Colt McCoy, Carolina's P.J. Walker, Carolina’s Cam Newton, Pittsburgh's Mason Rudolph and Detroit’s Tim Boyle. With Glennon and Minshew starting in Week 13, that number will be bumped to 19.
