Sherman is clearly a polarizing figure in the NFL, maybe even more so after his move to a division rival. Many Seattle fans, however, still support him and clearly miss his presence on the field and as a leader in the locker room.
And really, 49ers fans can’t be too upset. Many still supported Joe Montana when he went to the Chiefs and Jerry Rice when he was a Raider.
A great public relations stunt for the team would be to invite the man and his family to the game and give him a brand new Sherman jersey. They might even be able to convince him to sing the National Anthem.
