Get your tissues ready.

49ers tight end George Kittle and quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo recently hosted Julian Castillo at a practice, a young man who was diagnosed with lymphoblastic leukemia just over two years ago. Kittle gifted Julian his game-worn gloves from San Francisco's 31-3 win over the Cleveland Browns on "Monday Night Football" in Week 5.

Week 5 marked the 49ers' annual "Crucial Catch" game as part of an NFL initiative along with the American Cancer Society to fight "multiple types of cancer through early detection and risk reduction," according to the NFL's website. That week, Kittle wore gloves patterned with the NFL's "Crucial Catch" colorway.

Castillo put Kittle's gloves to work, playing catch with and running routes for Garoppolo. The QB is used to targeting those gloves, after all: He has thrown to Kittle more than any other 49ers receiver this season.

And those gloves helped make a lasting memory.
