George Kittle laughs off reported Kyle Shanahan-John Lynch friction

By all accounts, the 49ers have had a successful offseason thus far.

They were able to bolster the pass rush by trading for Dee Ford and drafting Nick Bosa with the No. 2 overall pick in the draft. They also selected two wide receivers to give Jimmy Garoppolo more firepower on offense. Speaking of Garoppolo, his rehab from a torn ACL is going along swimmingly.

There was, of course, one whisper that might have given 49ers pause.

Shortly after the draft, Bleacher Report's Matt Miller reported that there was friction between head coach Kyle Shanahan and general manager John Lynch over the direction of the team.

Shanahan quickly dispelled that notion, calling it "complete bulls--t."

So, what did 49ers Pro Bowl tight end George Kittle think about the reported tension between the two?

"That's pretty funny," Kittle told KNBR's "Murph and Mac Show."

While Shanahan and Lynch's tenure hasn't been filled with wins to this point, they have reason to be excited about the future and direction of the organization.

With a healthy Garoppolo, an improved pass rush and a star tight end in Kittle, the 49ers appear primed to be a threat in the NFC West. Friction or not.
