Kittle looks good at 49ers practice; First look at Ansah

49ers tight end George Kittle returned to practice in a limited capacity this week after suffering a sprained MCL and a bone bruise. He could play against the New York Giants this upcoming week -- albeit if the 49ers let him on the controversial MetLife turf.

During Wednesday's practice in West Virginia, Kittle looked great catching some passes and looked healthy doing so. So that’s good news.

Kittle injured his knee in the second quarter of the 49ers’ Week 1 loss to the Arizona Cardinals when he was hit low by safety Budda Baker. He limped off of the field, but was back for the second half. He missed the 49ers' Week 2 win over the New York Jets.

It's not completely up to Kittle whether or not he plays, but the video update seems promising. If he sits out again, Jordan Reed would be the starting tight end in the upcoming matchup.

The practice also had 49ers newly acquired defensive end Ziggy Ansah sporting his red and gold for the first time.

Ansah reportedly signed a one-year, $3 million deal with the 49ers. It’s as if the uniforms were made for him.

After a few disheartening days filled with somber injury updates, there is a bit of good news coming out of 49ers practice.
