Three 49ers make NFL's Top 100 catches of the 2020 season

The 49ers had a disappointing 2020 NFL season, to say the least, but it still came with plenty of highlights. In fact, three different 49ers made the NFL's list of the Top 100 catches of last season.

It all starts with a catch that didn't mean much, yet still caught our attention. When the 49ers fell 41-33 to the Dallas Cowboys in Week 15, they probably should have lost by even more. However, a last-second Hail Mary made things look just a little better on the scoreboard.

Kendrick Bourne hauling in C.J. Beathard's heave came in at No. 68.

Next comes two different 49ers tight ends who need just one hand to be top pass-catchers in the league.

Jordan Reed had a handful of highlight-reel plays in his 10 games with the 49ers last season. Perhaps none were better than his one-handed catch in a Week 10 loss to the New Orleans Saints.

How Reed caught that pass with one hand and kept it from hitting the ground still doesn't make any sense. The catch was ranked No. 20 overall.

And then, of course, there is George Kittle.

Another loss, but another ridiculous catch from the 49ers' star tight end. Kittle's career already has been full of highlights but this one is near the top. It's just a mind-blowing one-handed catch against the Seattle Seahawks.

This one came in all the way at No. 4 overall.

There's no doubt it has to be frustrating for the 49ers to see all three of these highlights came in losses. That's the story of their 2020 season, though. It was full of frustrations, with reminders of how good this team can be when healthy.
