Due to his size, strength and versatility, George Kittle is one of the best -- if not the best -- tight end in the NFL.
His imposing 6-foot-4, 250-pound frame, which gashed defenses for 910 receiving yards on 71 receptions last season, would look even scarier on skates.
Before the Nashville Predators hosted the Tampa Bay Lightning on Saturday night in the NHL Stadium Series, the 49ers tight end -- a noted Preds fan -- hopped on the TNT broadcast to assess himself as a hockey player.

Would Kittle be an enforcer on the ice and make a living in the penalty box? Or would he be a swift, nimble goal scorer?
"I'd like to be somewhere in the middle where I'd have [free] reign everywhere," Kittle said. "I can go be an enforcer or I can occasionally go get a goal. I like that, put me on the right wing."
Kittle, who is friends with Predators left wing Filip Forsberg, was asked by the crew who between the two of them would have the easier time transitioning to the other athlete's sport.

"I gotta learn how to skate a little better, but I think if I can hit [Forsberg] right, I might get him," Kittle said.
We don't doubt Kittle one bit.
