George Kittle's rise continued Wednesday as the NFL released its top 100 players list, as voted by the players themselves.

The 49ers' star tight end has gone from unranked to No. 29 to now No. 7 after his first three seasons in the NFL. His teammates know exactly how talented he is, and couldn't be more excited for his top-10 honor.

Oh, and they definitely know he's about to get paid big time.

Kittle himself was humbled to be honored by his peers as well.

Coming in at No. 7, Kittle made history this year. He not only is the highest-ranked tight end ahead of this season, he's the highest-ranked player at the position in the 10-year history of the NFL Top 100.

Kittle also is the highest-ranked 49er since Aldon Smith came in at No. 7 in 2013.

In just a three-year span, Kittle has gone from a steal in the fifth-round to a superstar in Santa Clara. There's no telling how much better he can get. So far, he's off to a historic start to his career.
