How to watch: 49ers vs. Cardinals in Week 18

The road to the Super Bowl still could run through San Francisco.

The 49ers will enter the final weekend of the regular season with a chance of securing the NFC’s No. 1 seed in the playoffs. To do so they’ll need to defeat the Arizona Cardinals and get some help from the New York Giants, who play the 13-3 Philadelphia Eagles.

The 12-4 49ers have put themselves in position to take the top spot - or the No. 2 seed - by winning nine straight games, having yet to lose in the Christian McCaffrey (and Brock Purdy) era. The 13-3 Eagles have lost two straight while playing without injured MVP candidate Jalen Hurts, who reportedly is expected to be available in Week 18. The Giants, who clinched their first playoff berth since 2016 on Sunday, are locked into the No. 6 seed.
