Injury report: 49ers TE McDonald returns to full practice

SANTA CLARA -– Tight end Vance McDonald, who sat out one game due to a concussion, received clearance to return to football activity on Thursday.

McDonald was a full participant in practice Thursday and is expected to return to the field Sunday when the 49ers face the Cincinnati Bengals at Levi’s Stadium.

Outside linebacker Aaron Lynch, the 49ers’ top pass-rusher, was a limited participant in practice, but still appears to be on pace to play in Sunday’s game. McDonald and Lynch sustained concussions against the Chicago Bears on Dec. 6 and missed Sunday’s game against the Cleveland Browns.
