Alex Smith made 489 throws this NFL season, completing 67.1 percent and leading the Chiefs to an 11-4 record and a berth in the playoffs. His play earned him a ticket to the Pro Bowl where, participating in the new dodgeball event, he made one throw he might regret. 

Representing the AFC, Smith wound up to hurl the dodgeball at the NFC team. Members of the NFC team reacted and backed up, but Smith's throw landed harmlessly about 10 yards away, well before reaching the other team.
