Najee Harris became a star at the University of Alabama, but his home always will be the Bay Area. And the Bay Area couldn't be more proud of the running back as he's set to play in yet another College Football Playoff National Championship.

The star Alabama running back is a native of Antioch in the East Bay. Prior to Monday's game against Ohio State, a digital billboard of Harris has been placed in Antioch with #AntiochStrong.

Harris, now 22 years old, was the No. 1 high school recruit in the Class of 2017 by Rivals. He rushed for 2,776 yards and scored 34 rushing touchdowns as a senior at Antioch High School. Over his final three high school seasons, Harris rushed for 7,783 yards and scored 93 rushing TDs.

After starring in high school, Harris has re-written the record books at Alabama. He has the most career rushing yards (3,764) and rushing touchdowns (44) in school history. Harris also holds the school record for yards from scrimmage (4,466) and total TDs (54). As a senior, he enters the national championship game with 1,387 rushing yards, 346 receiving yards and 27 total TDs -- 24 rushing and three as a receiver.
