The debate of which top-of-the-line wide receiver the 49ers should pick in Thursday night’s first round of the 2020 NFL Draft has been rampant, with a variety of reports linking all three to San Francisco.
But in a poll of 49ers fans, there is a clear consensus about which pass-catcher they’d like to see running routes for quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo this fall.

Lamb is seen by the oddsmakers in Vegas as the first wide receiver to come off the board, so he likely won’t be around when the No. 13 pick comes up. It’s not difficult to see why.

The Biletnikoff Award finalist did have a recent conversation with Niners wide receivers coach Wes Welker, ESPN's Josina Anderson reports.
Since WR CeeDee Lamb told me he spoke to #49ers WRs coach Wes Welker, I asked GM John Lynch about his profile for a WR. He told me he doesn't want to specify, but re Marquise Goodwin he said, "we're trying to find Marquise a good home. That is something that could happen today."— ig: josinaanderson (@JosinaAnderson) April 23, 2020
While Lamb might be the fan-favorite, winding up with any of the trio of Lamb, Jerry Jeudy or Henry Ruggs III would be a huge win for the Niners, who are in need of another dynamic playmaker in the receiving corps.
But in a year with more unknowns than any draft in recent memory, anything could happen.
