NFL rumors: Odell Beckham Jr. trade discussions are ongoing with Giants

The 49ers didn't add Antonio Brown, but they could still trade for a star wide receiver.

If available, the 49ers certainly would be interested in discussions with the Giants to add Odell Beckham Jr. And it appears the three-time Pro Bowler could be on the trade block.

The Giants are indeed involved in trade discussions regarding Beckham, reports Jeff Howe of The Athletic.

Meanwhile, Bleacher Report's Matt Miller said he spoke to someone who said a 49ers trade for Beckham is still possible.

Less than two weeks ago, Giants general manager Dave Gettleman refuted reports he was shopping Beckham at the NFL Scouting Combine.

“We didn’t sign Odell to trade him, OK?” Gettleman said. “So I know that’s all over the place. So understand that. That’s all I need to say about that.”

Anything can change, though, and dreams of OBJ catching passes from Jimmy Garoppolo appears at least be a possibility. Despite missing four games in 2018, Beckham still had 77 receptions for 1,052 yards and six touchdowns.
