The injury bug took one giant, cruel bite out of the 49ers on Sunday against the New York Jets, leaving NFL Twitter in bewilderment.

Following halftime of San Francisco's Week 2 road contest, Jimmy Garoppolo, Nick Bosa, Raheem Mostert and Solomon Thomas all were ruled out with knee injuries.

The 49ers also entered Sunday without injured starters George Kittle (knee), Richard Sherman (calf), Dee Ford (neck) and Deebo Samuel (foot).

Multiple other players have been shaken up throughout the game, too.

The 49ers dealt with a flurry of leg injuries Sunday. And it has come on brand-new turf, too.

What makes this even more concerning is the 49ers will play at MetLife Stadium next week as well when they face the New York Giants. This certainly must be frustrating for the 49ers and any other team facing the Jets or Giants this season.

A long list of NFL stars, including Giants running back Saquon Barkley, were injured Sunday. New Orleans Saints star receiver Michael Thomas currently is dealing with an ankle injury, and just wants to see players get healthy.
