That's more like it.

The syndicate went 11-5 ATS in Week 5 and is firmly above .500 for the week. The plan to bet against the New York Jets paid off, as did the belief that the Green Bay Packers are going to keep getting into mud fights with whomever they play.

Kyle Shanahan's suspect offensive gameplan got us a W with the Arizona Cardinals (-5.5), but Trey Lance certainly played well enough to spring the upset. The 49ers are on a bye this week, but we've got a few marquee matchups on the docket and I think two rookie quarterbacks are about to author the first big wins of their career and another finally gets in the win column.

Chaos is coming in Week 6.

Record: 45-35 ATS (53-27 SU)

Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Philadelphia Eagles

Line: Bucs -6.5

Hey now, the Eagles aren’t dead yet. After a surprising victory over the Carolina Panthers, Jalen Hurts and Co. have a little juice as the defending champions come to town. Add in Tom Brady’s wrapped right thumb and the Bucs’ defensive injuries and I think the Eagles will give the Bucs all they can handle. Tampa wins, but it’s close.

Pick: Bucs 28, Eagles 24

Miami Dolphins at Jacksonville Jaguars

Line: Dolphins -3

Both these teams are drawing dead and it’s only Week 6. The Dolphins were just fileted by Brady and the Jags have lost 20 straight as a franchise. I like Trevor Lawrence to make enough plays against a suspect Dolphins defense to get the Jags across the finish line. Pints at Urban’s Chophouse to celebrate, but no cameras.

Pick: Jags 24, Dolphins 23

Kansas City Chiefs at Washington Football Team

Line: Chiefs -7

Both defenses have been awful to start the season. Kansas City’s has been historically inept, while Washington’s, expected to be one of the best in the league, has been routinely shredded. Give me Patrick Mahomes in a get-right spot. The Chiefs can’t lose this game.

Pick: Chiefs 31, WFT 20

Cincinnati Bengals at Detroit Lions

Line: Bengals -3

The Bengals were my upset special last week and Evan McPherson had me thinking we cashed for the third week in a row as he was jumping up and down celebrating as his kick sailed wide left. No matter. I like this Bengals team and the Lions have to be just about out of gas after two heartbreaking losses in three weeks.

Pick: Bengals 27, Lions 20

Green Bay Packers at Chicago Bears

Line: Packers -4.5

Green Bay has been living dangerously over the past few weeks and I think it comes back to bite the Packers at Soldier Field. With Jaire Alexander and Za’Darius Smith both on IR, the Packers will struggle to contain Justin Fields, who gets the first marquee win of his young NFL career. Just keep Matt Nagy away from anything important.

Pick: Bears 26, Packers 24 (UPSET OF THE WEEK)

Los Angeles Chargers at Baltimore Ravens

Line: Ravens -3

The Chargers have been playing lights out and are due for a letdown, right? Not this week. Lamar Jackson rescued the Ravens from a horrific performance against the lowly Colts, but it’ll be harder to do that against Justin Herbert and Brandon Staley. Wrong team favored.

Pick: Chargers 30, Ravens 24

Los Angeles Rams at New York Giants

Line: Rams -10

No Saquon Barkley and Daniel Jones’ status is up in the air. Feels like a "work the kinks out" spot for the Rams, especially if Mike Glennon is at quarterback.

Pick: Rams 31, Giants 16

Houston Texans at Indianapolis Colts

Line: Colts -9.5

Indy gagged away a 19-point lead against the Ravens on Monday night and now the Colts’ season is on life support. But the Texans are a perfect remedy for what ails the Colts. Davis Mills played well against a banged-up Patriots team coming off an emotional game against the Bucs. But he was awful last time he was on the road, and I expect much of the same in Week 6.

Pick: Colts 24, Texans 13

Minnesota Vikings at Carolina Panthers

Line: Vikings -1

Wow. The oddsmakers don’t think much of the Panthers, who suddenly are leaking oil after back-to-back losses. Sam Darnold is a different quarterback when he is playing from behind. Kirk Cousins and Co. jump out to an early lead and the Panthers can’t battle back.

Pick: Vikings 23, Panthers 20

Arizona Cardinals at Cleveland Browns

Line: Browns -3

Arizona was begging for the 49ers to beat it in Week 5, but Kyle Shanahan and Trey Lance couldn’t kick the door down. The Browns will. Cleveland’s rushing attack controls the clock and keeps Kyler Murray on the bench as the NFL’s last undefeated team falls.

Pick: Browns 28, Cardinals 23

Las Vegas Raiders at Denver Broncos

Line: Broncos -3.5

Both teams have lost two in a row after 3-0 starts. The Raiders are now without Jon Gruden who resigned in the wake of his racist, sexist and homophobic emails becoming public. Las Vegas’ offense has been quiet of late. The Broncos haven’t beaten anyone with a pulse. I like Denver here. The Silver and Black feel like they are close to folding.

Pick: Broncos 23, Raiders 17

Dallas Cowboys at New England Patriots

Line: Cowboys -3.5

This feels like a spot where the Patriots get off the mat. They looked horrendous in barely beating the Texans but were without four offensive linemen and cornerback Jalen Mills. The Cowboys are the better team, have won four straight and can make a loud statement by putting it on the Pats in Gillette. But I’ll take Bill Belichick to find a way to slow down Dak Prescott and Mac Jones makes enough throws to get the Pats back to .500.

Pick: Patriots 24, Cowboys 21

Seattle Seahawks at Pittsburgh Steelers

Line: Steelers -4.5

It’s Geno time. With Russell Wilson out for four to eight weeks, the Seahawks’ season rests on the right arm of Geno Smith and whether or not their defense can stop anyone, starting with zombie Big Ben. Pittsburgh’s defense owns the day and Seattle’s season is just about done at 2-4.

Pick: Steelers 27, Seahawks 16

Buffalo Bills at Tennessee Titans

Line: Bills -5.5

Dangerous spot for the darling Bills here. After knocking off the Chiefs, Buffalo is everyone’s Super Bowl pick which means a letdown is coming. The only problem is … the Titans’ defense is horrible. I’m going to take the Titans because sometimes sports don’t have to make sense. Derrick Henry has his way with the Bills’ defense and Josh Allen throws two interceptions as Buffalo comes back to Earth.

Pick: Titans 28, Bills 27
