Week 8 was off the rails and the picks suffered.

Joe Burrow and the darling Cincinnati Bengals slept-walked into East Rutherford and lost to Mike White and the New York Jets while the Indianapolis Colts gagged away a 14-0 lead against the Tennessee Titans and the Los Angeles Rams damn near blew a cover against the Houston Texans.

The 49ers, however, snapped their four-game losing streak and got a cover with a 33-22 win over the Chicago Bears, so it wasn't all doom and gloom.

Let's get to the winners:

RECORD: 67-54 ATS (77-44 SU)

New York Jets at Indianapolis Colts

Line: Colts -10.5

Mike White ripped a Bengals team fresh off a massive win. He won’t catch the Colts by surprise. The only question is: Has Indy quit after crumbling against the Titans last week? Plug your nose and take the Colts. No left-handed passes, Carson.

Pick: Colts 30, Jets 17

Atlanta Falcons at New Orleans Saints

Line: Saints -6

No Jameis Winston means it’s Taysom Hill time in NOLA, which means I’m on the Falcons. Matt Ryan was horrific last week as a favorite. It’s better to back him as a dog against a team coming off a big win. Falcons cover, but don’t grab a W.

Pick: Saints 23, Falcons 20

Minnesota Vikings at Baltimore Ravens

Line: Ravens -6

The Ravens have had two weeks to stew after getting thumped by the Bengals. Kirk Cousins and the Vikings’ offense was pathetic against the Cowboys and gives me no confidence. Ravens by a touchdown.

Pick: Ravens 28, Vikings 21

Las Vegas Raiders at New York Giants

Line: Raiders -2.5

This is a game the Raiders would lose in each of the past two seasons. Will things be different under interim head coach Rich Bisaccia? Hard to say. The Henry Ruggs incident gives the Raiders another thing on their mind as they prepare for a Giants team that just fought the Chiefs tooth and nail. Give me Joe Judge as long as he finally got his headset fixed.

Pick: Giants 24, Raiders 20 (UPSET SPECIAL)

Denver Broncos at Dallas Cowboys

Line: Cowboys -10

The Broncos are live against bad teams and stink up the joints against functional units. Dallas might be the best team in the NFC. No Von Miller means no pressure on Dak. Give me Jerry’s boys.

Pick: Cowboys 31, Broncos 17

Houston Texans at Miami Dolphins

Line: Dolphins -6.5

Winner gets to dictate terms of the eventual Deshaun Watson trade, sound good? The Dolphins are bad but the Texans are relegation-level horrible. Don’t watch a second of this game.

Pick: Dolphins 23, Texans 13

New England Patriots at Carolina Panthers

Line: Patriots -3.5

Fresh off an impressive win over the Chargers, the Patriots head to Charlotte to face a team with a bad offensive line and perhaps a backup QB. I’m starting to believe in this Patriots team. Mac throws three touchdown passes and Bill Belichick’s team moves above .500.

Pick: Patriots 27, Panthers 17

Buffalo Bills at Jacksonville Jaguars

Line: Bills -14.5

Urban Meyer was stunned his team was blown out by the Geno Smith-led Seahawks. Wait until he sees what Josh Allen and the Bills are going to do to them. Trevor Lawrence deserves better.

Pick: Bills 34, Jags 17

Cleveland Browns at Cincinnati Bengals

Line: Bengals -2.5

The Browns have to deal with Baker Mayfield’s bum shoulder and the blossoming film career of OBJ’s dad. After losing to the Jets last week, the Bengals need this one to keep pace in the AFC North. Bengals. No doubt.

Pick: Bengals 27, Browns 23

Los Angeles Chargers at Philadelphia Eagles

Line: Chargers -1

Los Angeles’ run defense gets gashed weekly, and the Eagles finally ran the ball last week when they drubbed the Lions. Still, I think the Bolts will let Justin Herbert play a little looser Sunday and they can’t afford to lose three in a row.

Pick: Chargers 28, Eagles 23

Green Bay Packers at Kansas City Chiefs

Line: Chiefs -7.5

The “immunized” but unvaccinated Aaron Rodgers is unavailable, which means it’s Jordan Love time at Arrowhead. The Chiefs’ defense can’t stop anyone and I like backing good teams during their first game with a backup QB. Packers cover.

Pick: Chiefs 30, Packers 27

Tennessee Titans at Los Angeles Rams

Line: Rams -7.5

All right Ryan Tannehill, show us what you got. Without Derrick Henry, the Titans will need the veteran quarterback to carry them to keep pace with the high-powered Rams. I think the Titans will struggle in their first game without Henry. Rams roll.

Pick: Rams 30, Titans 20

Chicago Bears at Pittsburgh Steelers

Line: Steelers -6.5

The Bears’ offense might have found something against the 49ers. That something? Let Justin Fields be Justin Fields. Chicago’s defense can get enough stops against whatever is left of Big Ben to hang around in this one. I like the Bears, outright.

Pick: Bears 24, Steelers 20 (UPSET SPECIAL)

Arizona Cardinals at 49ers

Line: Cardinals -2.5

It’s a strange line with Kyler Murray’s status in doubt, but the star QB indicated Wednesday that he is trending toward playing Sunday. The 49ers saved their season with a win vs. the Bears, but they need to build off the victory, or else it will be for naught. The Cardinals are banged up and the 49ers got the good vibes back last week. 49ers get their first home win in over a year.

Pick: 49ers 27, Cardinals 24
