Samuel says Bosa 'untouchable' if 49ers trade for Watson

As the Deshaun Watson vs. the Houston Texans rumor mill continues to turn -- bringing more and more hypothetical trade proposals -- there's one scenario that 49ers' receiver Deebo Samuel wants no part of.

That would be a recent offer from former NFL player Ross Tucker, who suggested on 95.7 The Game's "Steiny, Guru and Dibs" Wednesday that San Francisco offer up Nick Bosa as part of a potential deal for Watson. Samuel quickly shot it down via his Instagram story, saying Bosa is "untouchable."

"If you can get Deshaun Watson, I think Bosa's even touchable," Tucker said. "I'm sure they don't want to do it, and I'm sure they'd even rather give up picks, but as great as Nick is, you get a chance to get a top-five quarterback in the NFL, you have to do it."

Obviously, Samuel isn't having it. As enticing as Watson is, it's clear Bosa is highly-regarded by his organization -- and for good reason.

The 2019 NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year was poised for a second stellar year, but tore his ACL in his left knee in the 49ers' Week 2 match up against the New York Jets. The injury sidelined the 23-year-old for the remainder of the season, leaving San Francisco's defensive line without their best player.

The saga between Watson and his current team, the Texans, is a long-running one. Now, the 25-year-old reportedly is unhappy with the organization's hire of Nick Caserio as their new general manager. There has been no shortage of speculation regarding where Watson might end up next season, including the chances of him landing with San Francisco. Clearly, this includes the possibility of the 49ers parting with one of their young stars.

Even in just 18 career games, Bosa has already established himself as one of the best edge rushers in the NFL, and one of the most feared defensive players in the league. The future is undoubtedly bright for the Ohio State product. Could the 49ers really part with him?

Tucker believes they could, although it certainly wouldn't be easy.

"I would say they would fight like the dickens to not have Nick Bosa be a part of [the trade], but ultimately if that's what it took, that's what they would do," he said.

In Samuel's eyes however, it's a much different story.
